Trivia[]

  • The surname Ēderuwaisu when translated means Edelweiss, a white flower that represents courage/power. It is also known throughout tradition in the Ēderuwaisu family that when a male member of the clan proposes to their love, he would present them with the same flower that represents their clan as a sign of dedication.
  • Despite all the members in the family who are samurai as male, Hayami is the only known female samurai in the Ēderuwaisu family; besides her, Ame is the second known female samurai in the family.
  • As tradition, while the males bore the Ēderuwaisu family symbol on their bodies as identification, the females who are wedded into the family are to wear the Edelweiss flowers in their hair that were presented to them by their husbands.
