Aries was born in the north blue in Kuen Village. It was there he found his devil fruit at the age of 16 and ate it. Even though Aries ate the fruit he didn't understand how to use it and thought that the fruit was useless. Joining the marines and following his father foot-steps he start off as a chord boy even though he father insisted that he as Seaman Recruit, he refuse and said he want to join a different squad from his father and work up the later form chore boy. During his time he meet an marine captain and was tough how to use his devil fruit. During this time Aries was able to work up to to Chief Petty Officer. As Aries do more mission he slowly get more and more recognize and soon get the nickname the glass man
