Gale Island (ゲイル島, Geiru Shima) is a large island in the New World. It gained the name Gale Island due to its high elevation and large winds on top of the mountains. The people located at Gale Island are called "Galians" One year ago, the island was under the leadership of Monkey D. Raul before Every and the Null Pirates showed up and invaded, taking over the island for its natural resources. However, Luffy defeated them and saved the locals. This island is also where the Gale Island Arc takes place, not to be confused with the Frabara Island Arc.
