Nikola T. Slava is the first mate of the Na Zdrowie Pirates and the right-hand man of Perun D. Krakow.
Appearance[]
Slava is a man with black hair, a tall stature, and a strong built. His cloth consists of a blue track suit and black shoes.
Personality[]
Slava is known to have an analytical mindset when dealing with issues, he is also the type of person to analyze a person to see if they're trustworthy. He is a level headed person who is calm a good portion of the time, however he does get extremely serious when money is on the line since he has a goal to get rich because he's tired of living a life with no money for such a large period of time. Being homeless has affected him severely since he gets nightmares of being homeless again and dying with gaining nothing from life.
He isn't too greedy when it comes to money, since he is willing to split money whenever he gets it with his crew. He doesn't however give willingly to strangers because he doesn't feel the need to give to them. He doesn't like the idea of actual work since he views it as as mentally draining and doesn't want to put so much effort just for a small portion of money.

Slava ate the Asshi Asshi no Mi, also know as the Crush Crush fruit. This is a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit which grants him the power to crush anything within his grasp, no matter how strong it is (except for seastone).

History[]
Slava was born on the island of Balkana, which was home to three tribes; the Srpskes (who practiced the Pravoslavna religion), the Hrvatis (who practiced the Katolik religion) , and the Bosanskis (who practiced the Muslimani religion). Slava is a Srpske who lived in an area where there were more Hrvatis than Srpskes, and ethnic tensions were at a high. The Island has a history with many conflicts, the island itself was originally in control by the island of the Austrijski empire, which made life difficult for the inhabitants of the island, especially the Srpskes.
Tensions got worse when the archduke of the Austrijski empire was assassinated by a Srpske man who was part of a revolutionary group named "the Black Hand" who wanted autonomy from the island. This led to the Austrijski empire declaring war on the island, thus resulting in the natives to wage guerilla warfare on the empire, this resulted in battle after battle until the Austrijski empire admitting defeat and pulled out of the island. After the war, the island of Balkana established their own government, the king ruling it was of Srpske ethnicity who established policies favoring Srpskes over Hrvatis and Bosanskis, having the Hrvatis and Bosanskis following Srpske customs and religion. This felt justified due to the Srpskes having it much worse than the Hrvatis and Bosanskis, and the belief that the Srpskes are the true inhabitants of the island.
This led the Hrvatis resenting the Srpskes and feeling worse off than during the days of the Austrijski empire controlled island, this led the Hrvatis to ask the world government for help. Thinking the Hrvatis were loyal people and would give the world government more authority, the world government helped the Hrvatis by supplying them with firearms and money, thus creating the Hrvati supremacists group known as "the Ustati". The Ustati led a revolt and did take over the kingdom, where they executed the king and establishing policies favoring Hrvatis and oppressing Srpskes.
With the new Ustati kingdom, the Hrvatis began their reign of terror against the Srpske people by killing them, enslaving them, or forcibly assimilating and converting the them into the Katolik religion. Despite having firearms, the Ustati used knives, hammers and axes and implemented brutal methods of torture against the Srpskes, it was so brutal that even Marine officials were disturbed and lost their composure due to the brutal methods of torture the Ustati were using. The Ustati kingdom viewed the Bosanskis as equals and didn't persecute them, believing they were Hrvatis who converted to the Muslimani religion hundreds of years ago, and considering them part of the Hrvati tribe.
Slava would eventually be born during the reign of the Ustati, while growing up Slava was told to always obey Ustati authorities and to stay away from the river that was close to their house. Slava was curious to why he couldn't ever go to the river, so one day he decided to go when his parents were busy.
Slava got to the river and was curious to why it was forbidden to go near? Slava was shocked when he saw the river was completely red for some reason, he kept wondering why it was red until he noticed multiple objects flowing down the river. When they got closer to him, he realized it was mutilated bodies with their limbs dismembered and their eyes torn out of their sockets. Slava was in shock by this and ran away, his mom was outside and noticed Slava running away from the river, she asked him if he went which he admitted to, his mother slapped him across the face and punished him severely.
Not too long after this incident, members of the Ustati launched an attack on the Srpske village that Slava and his family resided in, Slava and his family quickly left their home. Slava and his family ran as they passed by mutilated corpses with their limbs cut off or their eyes gouged out. A group of Ustati members noticed Slava and his family and chased them with hatchets, knives, and other weapons.
Slava and his family were almost caught but a group of an anti-Ustati militia called the "Balkana Partisans" shot and killed the men before they reached Slava's family. One of the Partisans guided Slava and his family to a ship filled with other Srpskesto get them off the island, Slava and his family got onto the ship which then left the island. Slava's family then started a new life in the land they were shipped to, while growing up in his new homeland, Slava was constantly bullied and always got into fights where he would brutally beat up the bullies, this caused him to get in trouble with both school and the law, which angered Slava's parents.
His parents would threaten him to stop it and that he was throwing away a new life for some petty conflicts, his mother would remind him about their old homeland and how he could've had his eyes ripped out for getting in trouble as a way to get him to better himself. Slava argued with his parents constantly and was threatened that if he would ever to be kicked out of school then he's out of the house. During this time Salava managed to take boxing classes at a gym, during this time he would meet a trainer who would help Slava train in Busoshoku Haki while teaching him how to fight.
One day Slava's life would take a turn for the worse as he beat up one bully while using Busoshoku Haki, causing the bully's face to get severely injured. This caused Slava to get arrested for injuring the bully, this caused him to be sentenced to five years behind bars, which got him kicked out of school and disowned by his parents. During this time he would use this opportunity to improve his haki usage by beating other inmates who tried to fight him.
After Slava served his time he survived by doing odd jobs, but never had enough money to have a great life, which made him question if he should've just bottled it up inside when people were bullying him. Since he lived in a dangerous neighborhood, he would at times get people who try to mug him, one day when he beat up some thugs for trying to rob him, he decided to rob them in retaliation. Slava searched their bags and found a devil fruit, the thugs demanded that Slava would give it back, since they were planning on selling it.
Slava smirked and took a bite from it, thus devastating the people trying to rob him, he then kicked them in the face, knocking them out. After eating the fruit, he gained powers of the Asshi Asshi no Mi, which gave him the ability to crush anything within his grasp, no matter how strong it was. One day Slava was again faced by the same criminals who tried robbing him before, and were furious about him eating their devil fruit.
Slava once again brutally beat them beyond recognition, and to make sure they won't attack him again, he crushed all of their legs and arms with his devil fruit abilities. This was all witnessed by Perun D. Krakow, who was impressed with his fighting skills, Krakow offered to take him out to eat and wanted to get to know him, Slava thought he was being asked out and didn't like the idea of going out with someone he just met. But since he hadn't eaten for a while and wanted some place comfortable to sit for once, he offered to give him a chance to see if he was a great enough guy to be in that time of relationship with.
Slava told Krakow about his life; from his problems with his homeland, to his school problems, to the legal issues, to the family issues, to eventually the job and homeless issue he's been facing. Slava told Krakow how he feels depressed about not having anyone, being homeless, and fearing that he's gonna spend the rest of his life doing the same thing he's been doing for years and years. Krakow told Slava that he would provide him with food and a place to stay if he agreed "to be with him", Slava didn't like the idea of being with someone just to get stuff from them but he thought to himself that if things don't go well that he'll pay Krakow back eventually.
Slava agreed to "be with him" and Krakow said he was happy that he was the first person to join his crew, Slava was confused and asked Krakow to clarify the "crew' thing he mentioned. Krakow told him that he would like him to be his first mate to his pirate crew and told him that he would help train him to be a great fighter. Slava felt dumb and embarrassed for misinterpreting Krakow's intentions, but he just rolled with it pretending he knew what he was talking about the whole time. So Slava enthusiastically joined Krakow's crew, becoming the first member to join the Na Zdrowie Pirates and becoming Krakow's first mate.
