Proud Pete died by the hands of Pirate Captain Hans D. Mada, mostly because Pete was attempting to shoot him because of an argument between them. Pete fired, but Captain Mada used his Devil Fruit to become intangible. Pete fired his rocks, but in the end, Pete was stabbed in the heart with Captain Mada's finger.
