The Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Ziz is a Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit which bestows the power to transform into a Ziz, the ruler of the sky at will.
Etymology[]
- Tori (鳥?) is Japanese for "bird".
Strengths and Weaknesses[]
The major strength of this Devil Fruit is that it allows the user to transform into a Ziz, whether they decide to only transform parts of their body (such as turning their feet into talons), assume a hybrid human-Ziz form, or transform into a full Ziz. As with all Zoans, the user's transformation grants them a tremendous boost in physical ability, it also grants the user the ability to fly due to being an avian Zoan. Unique to this fruit seems to be the ability to sprout talons from the users hands as well as their feet, which has not been seen with any other avian type Zoan.
The fruit's most significant power is the user's ability to manipulate the air around them. Due to being the ruler of the sky, it gives them control over the air to use for various purposes; such as increasing their speed by controlling the air beneath their wings (or the wind to propel them forward), controlling the wind to create air based attacks, summon strong winds that can range from anywhere from a light breeze to devastating hurricane and tornadoes (though with great strain), the user is able to control the air they manipulates pressure to use in the form of attacks.
The only drawback of the fruit seems to be the fact that the user's control over the air seems to be tied to their physical stamina, and if the user either tires themselves out via naturally or by controlling the air too much they will tire themselves out and need rest before they can use the ability again. Due to the power of the Ziz Other than that, it is affected by the standard Devil Fruit weaknesses.
